Why????

So I am trying to comprehend the rationale behind considering a family in Florida for Faith. Yes, Faith needs a forever home. But she has been with us for 5 years, and knows only Janel as her mom. When Emmy left to be adopted she was approximately the same age but she has the mental capacity to understand what was going on. Now, I'm not saying Faith is retarded; she is very smart in fact. But I really don't know that she will understand why she is being "thrown" into a strange place and she won't know where Janel is, or "her Andrea". If DHS wants to truly do what is in the best interest of Faith, then why even think of looking beyond Oregon???? I am just praying for a miracle, and that somehow, some way that God allows a family in town to love her and raise her. If it can't be us, and it can't be her mom, then at the very least let it be someone here. The best thing for Faith is to continue in the school she is in, to continue knowing the people in her lives here. I can't even imagine how far backwards she'll fall if she is placed with strangers across the country. Let's continue to allow her to advance and grow and learn. We owe her that.
